When God walked the Earth

For my first blog, i am putting in an article i read in MIDDAY, dated September 11


My dear children,
I am watching all of you. When I created this world I thought all mu creations will happily and peacefully live together. But what I see is very saddening. Everyone is at each other's throat, and each one is trying to eradicate other forms of life from the earth. The world is falling apart due to regular wars, bomb blasts and grenade attacks.
I have always said that there is only one God who has many names - Krishna, Christ, Mahavir, Zarathustra - and he looks after the world with great care. But when miscreants create unnecessary disturbances I fell very sad.
Everyone of your religions proclaims that there is only one religion, which is very true. But at the same time you all claim that your religion is the best.
Religion is a powerful force for the betterment of humanity, but it becomes a source of backwardness if it preaches superiority and hatred against other religions. You are all my children and i love all of you equally. I do not play favourites amongst my children. Do not fight, or kill, or maim and destroy one another in my name.
I do not need any of you to propagate my name. I do not require any favours from any of you. I am capable of looking after myself.
I only want you to have a good and loving heart and be kind to each other. If you really love me and want to make me happy then make a temple of love in your heart by feeding those who are hungry, clothing those who are naked, sheltering people who have nowhere to go and protecting those who are lesser than you. This will give me happiness and to you too.
